CALVARY
Oh, that sinful man could see
The plans behind that painful tree.
Would we live our lives so careless
Without a thought of Christ's distress?
As we look to God for help
Not knowing why he turned and wept.
At this the heavenly host was shaken
Yet knowing God had not forsaken
His dying son whose heart did break
To save all that he might take
And give new again this old earth
To end plans made before its birth.
